Traditional Islam and its impact on the dynamics of integration and disintegration processes of the national identity of society

Abstract

Based on the research of domestic scientists, the article analyzes the development trends of Islam in the history of Kazakhstan, studies the ways and means of its influence on the integration and disintegration processes of national identity and the dynamics of society development. The authors aim to reveal the essence of the negative consequences of politicized Islam that took place in modern religious conditions, evaluating the status, true position and role of Islam in Kazakh society. The research examines the negative impact of the ideological basis of radical Islamic organizations on the national security of Kazakhstan, interethnic and interfaith stability in society, and also analyzes the main trends in the modernization of traditional Islam as the spiritual pillar of society. The methodological basis of the article is the comparative-historical, phenomenological, systemic methods. Based on the dialectical principle, methods such as causal analysis and social analytics were used. In conclusion, the authors come to the conclusion that the duty of traditional Islam is to be the spiritual support of society in the implementation of the secular policy of the state in Kazakhstan, to form tolerance and religious tolerance, to support interethnic and interreligious harmony, as well as to prevent conflicts related to religion and nationality. The scientific conclusions of the article can be used by civil servants, researchers and teachers in the process of studying and teaching religious studies according to state programs, improving the spiritual sphere of society.
