- The length of the article manuscript (excluding the title, information about the authors, abstract, keywords, bibliography) must be at least 3,000 words and not exceed 7,000 words for the social sciences and humanities.
Article Structure:
First Page:
- First line – IRSTI (UDC in exceptional cases), left-aligned, bold font. The IRSTI corresponding to the manuscript's subject matter can be verified on the website.
- The manuscript title (Title) should reflect the essence and content of the article and attract the reader's attention. The title should be short, informative, and free of jargon or abbreviations. The optimal length of the title is 5-7 words (in some cases, 10-12 words). The manuscript title should be presented in Russian, Kazakh, and English. The manuscript title should be presented in bold lowercase letters, centered.
- Author information is required: initials and last name, affiliation (affiliation), city, country, email, and ORCID number. Author information is presented in normal lowercase font, centered. The primary author is listed first; the corresponding author is indicated by an asterisk (*).
- Author affiliations are indicated by superscripts after the last name (¹, ², ³). Authors from the same organization are listed under the same superscript number.
- All authors must provide their ORCID number using the hyperlink in the icon.
The abstract is at least 150 words long and no more than 300 words long in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
The abstract should include:
- a brief introduction to the topic;
- the purpose of the study and its main ideas;
- scientific and practical significance;
- a description of the methodology;
- main results and conclusions;
- the contribution of the study to the relevant field of knowledge;
- the practical significance of the results.
Keywords/phrases – 5-7 words/phrases in Russian, Kazakh, and English are intended for searching the article and defining its subject area. Keyword phrases are separated by commas; there is no final period.
The following main structural sections:
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion, Implications
- Acknowledgments (optional)
- Funding Source (if any)
- Author Contributions
- References
Introduction consists of the following main elements:
- Justification for the choice of topic; relevance of the topic or problem. The justification of the chosen topic, based on a review of previous scholarly work, should indicate the existence of a problematic situation (e.g., lack of sufficient research, emergence of a new object of study, etc.).
- The relevance of the topic is determined by a general interest in studying the given object, combined with the absence of comprehensive answers to existing questions. It is substantiated by the theoretical or practical significance of the topic.
- Definition of the object, subject, goals, objectives, methods, approaches, hypothesis, and significance of the study. The research goal is connected with proving a thesis, that is, presenting the subject of the study from the perspective chosen by the author.
- Materials and methods should include a description of the materials and the research process, as well as a complete account of the methods used. The characterization or description of the research material is a key factor determining the reliability of conclusions and methods, and should include both qualitative and quantitative aspects. This section explains how the problem was studied, providing detailed information without repeating previously published standard procedures. It should include identification of equipment (or software) and a description of materials, with an обязательным emphasis on novelty in their use. The section should also cover both foundational and recent works on the topic, including international sources and publications in English (10–15 works), analyzing their scientific contribution and identifying research gaps that your article aims to address.
Scientific methodology should include:
- research question(s);
- proposed hypothesis(es) (thesis);
- stages of the research;
- research methods;
- research results.
Results and Discussion – this section presents the analysis and discussion of the results obtained in your study. It includes conclusions drawn from the research findings and раскрывает the core essence of the work. This is one of the most important sections of the article. It should provide a thorough analysis of your results and discuss them in comparison with previous studies, analyses, and conclusions.
Conclusion – a summary and overall assessment of the work at this stage; confirmation of the validity of the proposed statement (thesis) put forward by the author, as well as the author’s conclusion regarding the development or change in scientific knowledge based on the obtained results.
Conclusions should not be abstract; must be used to generalize the research results within a particular scientific field, including suggestions or possibilities for further research.
The structure of the conclusion should address the following questions: What were the aims and methods of the study? What results were obtained? What conclusions were drawn? What are the prospects and possibilities for implementation or application of the research outcomes?
Acknowledgements – Please mention the individuals and organizations that assisted during the research process, for example, those who helped with translation, edited the text, or provided materials/equipment for the study.
Funding – The name of the project/program, its identification number, and the name of the funding organization must be indicated.
Author Contributions – This section should be presented in accordance with the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) system. Each author’s contribution to the research should be briefly described, such as developing the idea and methodology, collecting and analyzing data, writing and editing the manuscript, approving the final version of the article, and so forth.
References – For the social sciences and humanities, the reference list must include at least 15 sources. At least 50% of all references must be recent works published in English. The following points should be taken into account in this section:
- Cite key scientific publications and advanced research methods used in the given field of science, on which the author’s work is based.
- Avoid excessive self-citation of your previously published works.
- Avoid excessive references to publications by authors from the CIS/USSR; instead, use global research and international sources (e.g., Web of Science).
- Do not cite encyclopedias, monographs, dissertations, or materials that are not publicly accessible.
- The bibliographic list should include fundamental and the most up-to-date works published by well-known international authors and researchers relevant to the article’s topic.
- The reference list should be presented in alphabetical order and include ONLY the works that are cited in the text.
- The inclusion of numerous irrelevant references or inappropriate statements about your own achievements is unacceptable.
If the reference list includes works written in Cyrillic, it must be presented in two versions: the first in the original script, and the second in a romanized alphabet (transliteration – translit.ru).
Sources originally published in non-Latin alphabets (Cyrillic, etc.) must be transliterated into Latin script. The formatted (romanized) entry should follow this structure:
Author(s) (transliteration) → (Year in parentheses) → Title of the article in transliteration [English translation of the title in square brackets] → Source title in transliteration (or official English title, if available) → Publication details in English.
The formatting style for reference lists in Kazakh, Russian, and English should follow the APA Style.
For managing references, it is recommended to use Mendeley Reference Manager.
Use of AI and automated tools
- The use of AI is permitted as an auxiliary tool (e.g., language editing, translation, formatting, bibliography preparation, technical data processing), provided that the authors carefully verify the results.
- If AI was used in preparing the manuscript, the author(s) must disclose this in the cover letter upon submission, specifying the name of the tool and the purpose of its use. Upon request by the editorial board, the author(s) must provide additional information to ensure transparency of the publication.
- AI cannot be listed as an author or co-author. Responsibility for the content, accuracy of facts, correctness of references, and adherence to ethical standards lies with the authors.
- The use of AI for data fabrication/falsification, creation of fictitious references/sources, or presenting unverified generated text as research results is prohibited.
- The transfer of unpublished manuscripts, reviews, or editorial correspondence to third-party AI services is prohibited if it violates confidentiality or applicable regulations.
DOI
- Each published article is assigned a DOI (registration through Crossref).
Publication fee
Foreign authors are exempt from the publication fee.
The publication fee is 60,000 KZT per article and is charged after the manuscript has been accepted. Payment does not influence the editorial decision and does not replace the peer-review process. Proof of payment (receipt in PDF or JPEG format) must be sent to the editorial office’s email address.
