About the Journal
Eurasian Journal of Religious Studies was founded in 2015. The founder and the Publisher of the Journal is the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The Journal has developed and approved cover and title pages with an indication of the institution, imprint of the issue, ISSN, eISSN, editorial board, editorial policy, publication ethics on the website.
The Journal is published periodically 4 times a year.
Journal articles are registered in the database CrossRef and every article of author necessarily assigned DOI - Digital Object Identifier, which is used to provide a citation, references and links to electronic documents.
The Journal is indexed by the Kazakhstani Citation Base (KazBC) of the National Center for State Scientific and Technical Expertise JSC (NCSTE).
The Journal is also placed in the Scientific Electronic Library elibrary.ru in open access for readers and is included in the analytical database "Russian Science Citation Index" (RSCI).
The editorial board of the Journal includes leading Kazakhstani and foreign scientists.
The Journal follows the policy of information openness and accessibility of authors' publications; articles are posted on the journal's website in three languages in full-text access.
Aim & Scope
The aims of the Journal are to cover and draw attention to topical issues of Religious studies and Islamic studies; familiarization of the scientific community with the results of scientific research in this area; formation of a discussion platform for the exchange of scientific opinions, proposals and experience; exchange of research results in the field of religious studies and Islamic studies between domestic and foreign scientists.
The tasks of the Journal:
- informing experts, specialists and the public about topical problems and trends in the field of Religious studies and Islamic studies;
- assistance in the publication of the results of fundamental and applied research in the field of Religious studies and Islamic studies;
- expansion of the communicative space of interaction between Kazakhstani and foreign scientists working in the field of Religious studies and Islamic studies;
- coverage of research work of young scientists, assistance to them in the publication of scientific results of their research.
Thematic directions of the Journal
The Journal publishes articles on the following thematic areas of Religious studies:
- History and theory of religion;
- Philosophy of religion;
- Religious studies: domestic and foreign experience;
- Religion in the globalizing world;
- State-confessional relations: domestic and foreign experience;
- Religion and society;
- Methods of teaching religious studies in the system of secondary and higher education;
- Interdisciplinary research, combining achievements in the analysis of religion such sciences as history, sociology, psychology, philosophy, philology, anthropology, phenomenology, jurisprudence, etc .;
- Philosophical and theological studies on the history of philosophical and religious systems and theology, research articles on the current state of philosophical and theological problems, translations of ancient and modern authors;
- Eurasianism in the context of modern social and humanitarian thought.
* The author(s) of the manuscript approved for publication in the journal are obliged to pay for publication in accordance with the approved price list for publication in the scientific journals of Al-Farabi KazNU. According to the approved price list, payment for publication is 2000 tenge per page. In exceptional cases, if there are other sources of funding for the journal series, authors may be fully or partially exempted from payment for the publication of the article.
