Features of traditionalism and modernism of Islam

Abstract

In this article, the authors of the work done on the analysis of the characteristics and specifics of traditionalism and modernism in Islam.

In the period before the new millennium society is to reflect on the role of the traditional and the modern understanding of religion in general and Islam in particular.

It describes the degree of relationship of traditional and modern trends and definitions in the Islamic faith. Describing, in general, the development of these relations, considered the attitude of society to resolve the data relationships. Speaking about the traditionalism and modernization of Islam, it is most likely necessary to distinguish different perspectives of the reform and modernization, on the one hand, and orthodoxy and fundamentalism, on the other.

Particular attention is aimed at both treating the matter public and political figures of the Muslim states, it is considered in the context of Islamic culture and philosophy.
