The main ways of providing counseling and psychological assistance to victims of the activities of destructive religious movements

Abstract

This article discusses the main ways and methods of providing counseling and psychological assistance to victims of the activities of destructive religious organizations, while the authors of this article relied on the methodology of such famous world-renowned scientists as Rodgers K., Frankl V., S.Hassen. We should not forget what role religion plays today in the life of modern society; we should not lose sight of the influence of the psychological factor in the involvement of our fellow citizens in the ranks of destructive organizations. This means the direct impact of this factor on the quality of life, health and well-being, ultimately, on the political, legal, spiritual, moral and social security of our people. Today, as a result of psychological counseling, 1,134 people have been rehabilitated. This became possible with the active work of the centers in providing counseling and psychological assistance to victims of the activities of destructive religious organizations. In the first half of 2017  on the territory of our country, more than 5,000 events of this type were held, as a result of which 6,630 people were covered with psychological counseling. This was announced by the Ministry of Public Accord. The article is also devoted to the role of religion in the globalizing world and its influence on the future development of human civilization. The article also discusses the positions of various researchers in this area who stand in different scientific positions.
