Abstract

The authors search at the common and specific features of the relations between the state and religion in Russia. They offers his opinion on the religious situation in RF and in the north Caucasus region of RF, as well as in the describes how religion is used for purposes society and state. 

Authors consider the peculiarities of relations between state and religion in modern Russia. Describes the role of religion in the social and political life of Russia in the interests of society and the state, for the sake of stability and harmony of religion. It gives in opinion on religious situation in Russia. In the spiritual life of the society, there is a clear state support for religious culture and traditions. The role of religious diplomacy is growing in the system of international relations during the process of globalization. Religious and religious figures have their own place in the foreign policy of the far-flung countries and in international relations. In modern Russia, the relationship between the state and religion is realized on a secular basis. In Russia, religious and religious consciousness reflects national spirituality and commitment to tradition. The state pays special attention to determining the social functions of traditional religions in the life of the society, especially the Orthodox cultural tradition. Orthodox priests traditionally exterminate spaceships and military equipment and encourage significant public events. Modernization of church consciousness and active participation of Orthodoxy in contemporary social and political life are observed in Russia. Important aspects of the state and religion relations in the country: freedom of conscience, the spread of new religious movements and occult mystic teachings, improvement of mechanisms of external religious influence, religious fanaticism, active participation of clerics in social and political life, religious and nationalism the rise of the religious background of the national consciousness, the rise of influence of Orthodox values 0on social and political life, the connection of religious extremism with the criminal world, religious extremism in the regions, the increased influence of clerics on the formation of public opinion.
