Implementation of the right to freedom of religion by military personnel in the Republic of Kazakhstan: problems, prospects and solutions

Abstract

The relationship between the state and religious associations in Kazakhstan is defined by the constitutional principles of secularism, which guarantee separation of religious associations from the state and their equality before the law. At the same time, followers of all religions are equal before the state not only in rights, but also in duties. The topic of the relationship between religion and the army continues to develop actively in the media and social networks. However, when discussing this very difficult issue, a number of important points that the author of the article would like to draw attention to are overlooked. The necessary conditions for religious belief in regime facilities not touched upon in the course of discussions. The article deals with the problems and difficulties, the necessary legal and organizational conditions for the religion of military personnel, and the possible irreversible consequences of the presence of religion in the army.
